Today Is The Most Important Day, Not Tomorrow.
In today's letter we talk about the importance of focusing on today, how I lost 15 kg in six months, interesting thoughts in productivity and a song that is on repeat.
Running Valdaran by UTMB CHD in Pyrenees
We are obsessed about tomorrow. We will wake up tomorrow and say we will do it tomorrow. There is an event that is happening in a couple of days, so it’s many tomorrow(s).
If we don’t feel like it, we will say that tomorrow is another day.
We all know that tomorrow will come, but the big question is: will we be here?
Because tomorrow might be already late. Today is the most important day because today can be a fresh start. We don’t need to wait for New Year or Birthday celebration.
If we wait to long, we might wake up and realize that we missed so many opportunities because we thought we had tomorrow.
Last Friday I run Valdaran by UTMB race in the Pyrenees and throughout my trail run I reminded myself that today is the most important day because all we have is now.
How I Lost 15 KG In Six Months
This is a quite personal article but I hope it inspires someone on their fitness /weight loss journey.
I struggled for 5 years to lose weight and become lean. I lied to myself for so long that I could lose my belly fat quickly, but the reality was that I couldn’t.Â
I tried different ways to lose weight, I started running, I signed up for gym classes, I downloaded all the apps that promised you a six-pack in 6 weeks and listened to podcasts, watched videos on social media and of course googled a ton of questions.Â
👉 Interesting Thought #1:
Maybe we should seek intentionally more people that have different beliefs than we do so we can challenge our thinking.
👉 Interesting Thought #2:
We don’t really know what is our potential unless we push ourselves to try new things and break our own limiting beliefs.
👉 Interesting Thought #3:
"Productivity is most important for things you don't want to be doing. Most people want to increase productivity so they can spend less time on the task.Â
But before you worry about being more productive, think about being more selective. Rather than focusing on increasing productivity, it may be worth asking, "What would I be delighted to spend time on, even if it went slowly?"Â
Direct your energy toward figuring out how to start what you want to do rather than thinking about how to shorten what you don't want to do."
